The Task
Our team was selected by an international construction company responsible for re-developing Nelspruit Airport, South Africa, to provide input in design, commercial concepts, and developing a tender and contract strategy.
Our Approach
To achieve this task, we utilised a comprehensive approach, beginning with a review of technical drawings, a site visit and extensive engagement with local representatives, architects and designers. Our team provided detailed input on space allocation, unit design, overall terminal design, and using suitable materials.
We also provided the new operator with tender planning, proposed RFPs, and standard contracts. Additionally, we outlined potential commercial operators suitable for the airport, enhancing the operator’s operational efficiency.
The Result
The outcome of our tailored approach was the successful completion of the airport’s design and construction within the given timeline. The airport’s operator immediately opened commercial outlets that were expertly managed by professional operators, leading to a vast improvement in service delivery and commercial revenues.
