The Task
Copenhagen Airport International acquired a stake in the airport and requested that we participate in a review of its current situation. Our task was identifying, developing, and implementing new business-enhancing strategies for the airport’s commercial activities.
Our Approach
We spent over 12 months on-site, identifying various areas for improvement. To enhance the airport’s commercial activities, we recommended implementing new commercial concepts, improving passenger flows, and designing unit redesign requirements. One of the immediate opportunities for revenue enhancement, was the tendering of the large car park operation, for which we developed a new RFP and contract and managed the tender process to improve daily operations, maximise passenger satisfaction, and increase revenues.
We also designed a new standard commercial contract and an RFP document, which were used to outsource all commercial activities.
The Result
The car park tender was highly successful, immediately generating increased revenues. Our team also successfully implemented all other non-aviation revenue-enhancing initiatives to the client’s satisfaction.
