The Task
Patria, a leading alternative asset management company in Latin America, and AviAlliance, a renowned private industrial airport investment and management firm, engaged our services for a commercial due diligence, terminal layout development, and revenue forecast modelling for a prospective bid in the Northeast Cluster of the fifth airport concession round. This cluster included six airports, namely Recife, Maceió, João Pessoa, and Aracaju.
Our Approach
Our approach involved a comprehensive due diligence of various aspects of the commercial operation at each airport, backed by site visits, thorough data scrutiny, and extensive benchmark analysis. Our team identified optimal areas for the entire concession period and designed new terminal layouts for each expansion phase. Additionally, we identified various measures to enhance revenue generation, not limited to the terminal but also across car parks and car rental areas.
We developed a detailed revenue forecast for each airport, indicating sales and revenue per passenger, per business line, and per year, with sensitivity analysis of various CAPEX options.
The Result
Our client received a detailed evaluation of the existing situation and potential upsides based on a short–, medium–, and long-term business development strategy, with optimised commercial layouts and a revenue forecast for all non-aviation businesses.
